Birmingham native Shelby Adams is originally from Mountain Brook. He attended Baylor University and eventually got his culinary degree from Scottsdale Culinary Institute. Since then he has worked in New Orleans and in some of Birmingham’s best restaurants, such as Hot and Hot Fish Club, Standard Bistro and Bottega. Shelby is extremely excited to cross over from restaurant life to bakery, creating the smells and flavors reminiscent of his grandmother’s kitchen.

Icing on the Cookie, which was born in 2009, proudly serves the Birmingham community and beyond from our storefront in the charming Homewood neighborhood.  We have a range of offerings, including our signature iced cookies, cheese straws, Take it Easy take-home dinners, and more.  With a focus on quality customer service, we deliver treats you and your family and friends will deeply enjoy.
