Dear Friends,
It is with sad fondness that Matt and I announce our departure from Icing on the Cookie.
Our experience with this company has been overwhelmingly positive. What began as a mere conversation on the way to a UGA football game back in 2008 soon developed into a year of conceptualizing and "practicing" from our homes, then finally the opening of our doors in October 2009, and now a full-blown bakery filling orders of 50 dozen plus! We could not be more proud of the level of success Icing on the Cookie has reached, and we feel privileged to have been a part of every step.
Many of you know that during this process we were blessed with the greatest gift- an addition to our family. Our precious Caroline has also spent many, many hours at Icing on the Cookie, and she was always a joy to have around. But as you might imagine, having a new baby and a new business at the exact same time is a challenge. So when the opportunity to turn the company over to the willing and capable hands of Katie and Shelby arose, we gratefully accepted. And we know it will continue to thrive and produce wonderful treats with them at the helm.
We have so many people to thank: our family and friends who took care of Caroline for the first year of her life; our wonderful friends at Twin Construction; our neighbors, friends and family who bought our cookies and offered compliments and support; our employees past and present: Sarah, Laura, Lindsey, Bridget and Lucy; Kaye Adams who graciously came to our rescue time and time again; every customer who walked in the door; and especially Shelby and Katie who were patient with us as we adjusted to parenthood and who are now willing to take the reigns and continue to make this business succeed!
As we transition from owners to customers, we ask for your continued patronage and thank you for supporting a small, locally-owned business that requires hours upon hours of hard work to keep the doors open. After all, who can resist those cookies!
Many thanks and blessings to all,
Anna Cate, Matt & Caroline Little
